WOYWW 266 - A change of space

I'm off shift today and so spent a good part of it making cards for a bunch of important women in my life. It was too hot to work in my room so I took over the dining table for the afternoon.

I took a few of my most important tools downstairs and got busy.

The cards are mostly made with Graphic45 papers although the card shown at top left is from a Craftwork Cards range.

The Return of the Local Tourist

Over on my old blog I did a series of posts under the label of Local Tourist my idea being that I would visit those places that we tend to forget about because they are nearby but that strangers to the area would visit and after today I can announce that I am planning to carry that idea on over here.

Today I went to a Medieval Fair at Shropshire Lavender Farm and it was really good. It was only a couple of miles from home and although the weather didn't look that promising I decided to give it a go as an opportunity to get my camera out.

There was lots to see on the living history field and every time I walked around I spotted something new.

The displays were great.
The live combat was really thrilling and there was some groaning from the audience as some of the weapons hit their targets.

My favourite part was the falconry display though.
And I even managed to catch a couple of good shots of the birds in flight as with this one of the beautiful barn owl.

WOYWW 265 - Sweet!

This week has been full of surprises yet again and there is little action on my desk this week. Because I started a new job yesterday! The last two weeks have been hellish an unplanned holiday due to my previous job coming to a sudden and unexpected end and I was so over it so the new job came along at just the right time. It's only been two days but so far so good.

But back to the reason for this post my desk.
This is the result of last night's craft club a fun LO and and a pretty card. Under the LO is a pile of Graphic45 papers that I bought at club and I intend to make cards with them - fingers crossed I will feel so inspired.

Next a slightly better look at the LO. It still needs a little work but it is almost there.

The photo is a teasing selfie I took the other sunday at a local ice cream farm - yummy! The papers are from another Kaisercraft range 'Spring Bloom'

The Finished Product

I have finished the LO from the other day and it has changed a bit but not much.

The photo is the result of me playing around with the camera on my phone and is so out of focus but I like it. The three pieces on the left hand side were all pieces from cut apart sheets from the range and the wording was what initially drew me to the range. The title was cut with my cuttlebug and the heart was hand drawn and then cut out.

WOYWW - Another Page

This week my desk is host to another scrapbook page although this one is still a work in progress and lacking a photo. I need to buy some photo paper so I can print my photos at home once more.

This is usng another Kaisercraft range - I love their designs! The main colour is more red than pink in real life though.

WOYWW - A New Beginning

Quite literally a new beginning and please excuse the poor state of this blog I have lots of work still to do here but as I have managed something amazing I knew the time was right to start sharing. The something amazing was to be found on my desk today as I finished it off.
This is my first scrapbook page since January and since all the changes that have affected my life began. The changes are far from over but I am back! This is my annual page, two months late as I usually complete it closer to my birthday but the photo was taken on the eve of my birthday. There is much more of a story attached to the photo than I could ever share on a page so I will be adding all of that to the back for posterity.
